Transfer of Isian News to Online Format

          Because of the global transition to computer technology, I have decided after months of consideration, to put Isian News online, and not to publish it anymore in magazine form. I will present the usual four issues at the seasonal festival, cover illustration and Editorial, with personal comments on the Isian scene as it unfolds! Looking over copies of Isian News which my brother Lawrence and I started in 1976, I took note that all the contents are now provided for through the FOI Central Homepage and the plethora of centres linked with it. The Oracle and Mystery Dramas are now made freely available through the Homepage. We used to give a list of all our centres: this now would occupy a whole magazine! The list of Iseums, Lyceums, Groves and Priories are given, with information and postal courses. Members’ books, arts and crafts and “Helpers of Isis” projects are described in detail. For personal contacts we have Email.

          Outstanding subscriptions can either be offered as donations towards (Foundation Centre) expenses, or I will post a book or booklet of choice. Lawrence and myself always have given free subscriptions to our African members since we began, and I have continued this. But now not only Centre Founders but individual African members can gain access to Isian News. Computers are becoming increasingly available through libraries and other facilities. I extend warm thanks to the Rt. Rev. Caroline Wise and to other volunteers who have seen to the printing and distribution for Isian News since 1996. In the Name of Isis may Her Shemsu continue to grow, not as one Hierarchical Tree, but as a world wood with many varieties of glorious Trees!

Formation of FOI Central Register

          Owing to the world-wide membership of the Fellowship of Isis, a Central Register of all members of the Priesthood and other Fellowship appointments has been set up. This will include a list of all centres of the College of Isis, the Spiral of the Adepti, the Druid Clan of Dana, the Noble Order of Tara and centres for Helpers of Isis and FOI Retreat Centres. The Central Register will be with the FOI Central Homepage, administered by Connia Silver, AU, to which all information should be sent. Only members and listed centres registered in this manner will be officially a part of the F.O.I. The registrations to the Central Register are retroactive to 1999.


[Ed. Note: To keep pace with the rapid growth of the Fellowship of Isis, the responsibility of formal registration has been decentralized to the entire Archpriesthood Union. This website still maintains its Central Register as well.]
