Problems with Sound Files

If you are having problems playing the sound files, first make sure that you have a media player installed on your computer and that it is the most recent version. The most common problem is having a slow internet connection, such as dial-up. Unfortunately there is no easy fix for this, other than to obtain a higher one, usually through purchasing high-speed internet.

Other problems may include:
  • If you have been running your computer for a long time, you may want to reboot it before playing the files.
  • Close all program windows that aren't necessary.
  • Make sure that your sound card has the most recent drivers installed. (These are found at the manufacturer's website.)
  • Adjust the buffering setting on your media player. If you think the files are being cut off, it may actually be a long pause while your machine is buffering the remainder of the file to your computer.
  • Your media player may be a test version and needs to be upgraded.
